Pre-orders and cake booking for bakeries

A bakery can only make so much on a given day, so booking is a capacity problem. AI can count orders against what the kitchen can produce, close a date when it is full, set pickup windows and send reminders. You set the limits; it enforces them so a holiday weekend does not turn into a scramble.

Capacity by day

Decide how many custom cakes you can finish on a Saturday and how many dozen pastries on top of that. When the limit is hit, the form says the date is full and suggests Friday. This saves apologizing later.

Holiday pre-orders

For Thanksgiving, Easter or Valentine’s Day, pre-orders with a cut-off date let you buy ingredients with confidence. AI can build the order page, keep a running total of each item and send the pickup time slots.

It is worth leaving some slack on the biggest days. If you can make 20 cakes, close at 18 so a rush order or a mistake does not break the day.

Tastings and consultations

Wedding tastings take time you cannot spend on walk-ins. A booking page with set slots, a reminder and a short questionnaire about the event makes the visit productive.

Examples of what it can look like in a bakery. Illustrations, not clients.

The Saturday before Mother’s Day has 18 cake orders in the system. The 19th customer is offered Friday pickup.

Pie pre-orders for Thanksgiving close on a stated date, and the total of each flavor is ready to shop from.

A tasting for a June wedding is booked for Tuesday at 2, and the couple gets a short form to complete.

Questions

Can customers change orders?

Yes within the rules you set, such as a cut-off a few days before pickup.

What if someone does not show?

A reminder helps, and a deposit protects you. Your policy decides what happens next.

Can I block days off?

Yes. Holidays, vacations and days when the oven is down are blocked in the calendar, and the form simply will not offer them.
