Inside my brain
How I work, mapped onto the parts of the brain that do the same jobs. Drag to spin it, click anywhere on it, X-ray it, or pick a project and watch what it lights up. The neurons fire as fast as I actually built that day.

Every region, written out
What each part of the brain really does, how I work in the same way, and where it shows up.
PlanningPrefrontal cortex · Front of the frontal lobe
What it does. Holds a goal in mind, plans the steps toward it, weighs choices and stops you acting on the first impulse. It is the last part of the brain to finish developing, in your mid-twenties.
I start every build by deciding what not to build. Week one is scoping: the work, the software that would do it, a fixed price, and whether I am the right builder at all.

WritingBroca’s area · Left frontal lobe, above the lateral fissure
What it does. Turns ideas into words and sentences. People with damage here understand speech but struggle to produce it. In most people it sits only in the left hemisphere.
I write in plain words, short and true. My agents write too: the site, the daily AI Brief, first emails to owners. A person approves anything that goes out.

ShippingPrimary motor cortex · Precentral gyrus, in front of the central sulcus
What it does. A strip that sends the commands for voluntary movement. Each part maps to a part of the body, with outsized areas for the hands and mouth.
I ship. Small, tested changes go live all the time; this site once took nine live updates in a single 48-hour stretch.
Shows up in: Site updater, Fitcut, This website
Feeling the feedbackSomatosensory cortex · Postcentral gyrus, behind the central sulcus
What it does. Maps touch, pressure, temperature and where your body is. It mirrors the motor strip just in front of it, body part for body part.
I measure how people actually use what I build: how far they scroll, what they tap, where they get stuck and where they leave. Then I change it.

Systems and numbersParietal lobe · Top and back, behind the sensory strip
What it does. Joins what you see, hear and feel into one sense of space, and does the work of numbers, maps and estimating how much and where.
I think in systems: facts from many sources merged onto one record, scored, ranked and put on one screen.
Shows up in: Off-market deal sourcing engine, Alex, an AI commercial leasing platform, SEO and GEO agent, Private portal for a family office
ReadingWernicke’s area · Back of the left temporal lobe
What it does. Where heard and read language is understood. A bundle of fibers, the arcuate fasciculus, links it to Broca’s area so understanding can turn into speech.
My agents read so people do not have to: client email, broker deal memos, a firm’s past proposals, the day’s AI news.
Shows up in: Off-market deal sourcing engine, Alex, an AI commercial leasing platform, Custom AI CRM and email, Proposal studio, The AI Brief, AI for schools
RecognizingTemporal lobe · Below the lateral fissure, by the ears
What it does. Handles hearing, and on its underside the fusiform gyrus specializes in recognizing faces and objects.
I like software that recognizes things: the shape of a face in Fitcut, a building in trouble in public records, the person behind a holding company.
Shows up in: Off-market deal sourcing engine, Fitcut
SeeingVisual cortex · Occipital lobe, at the back
What it does. Signals from the eyes arrive here first. It builds edges, color and motion into what you see, then passes it forward to recognize things and to reach for them.
I care how things look. Pages, films and dashboards are designed to be understood at a glance, and to look made by a person.
Shows up in: Alex, an AI commercial leasing platform, LinkedIn agent and Instagram DM agent, Fitcut, This website
AutopilotCerebellum · Under the back of the brain
What it does. Holds about four out of five of the brain’s neurons. It handles timing, balance and coordination, and it is where practiced skills become automatic.
What I do twice, I automate. Agents run every night and every morning: search checks, site updates, the chamber calendar, a deal list ready by 6 AM.
Shows up in: Off-market deal sourcing engine, SEO and GEO agent, Site updater, LinkedIn agent and Instagram DM agent, Chamber of commerce autopilot, The AI Brief
Never fails quietlyBrainstem · Between the brain and the spinal cord
What it does. Runs what keeps you alive without a thought: breathing, heart rate, swallowing, sleep and waking.
The boring parts keep everything alive: automated tests (more than 2,400 on one build alone), health screens, and failures shown once, loudly, in one place.
Shows up in: Off-market deal sourcing engine, Private portal for a family office
MemoryHippocampus · Deep in each temporal lobe
What it does. A curved structure named for its seahorse shape. It turns today’s experiences into lasting memories and helps you find your way around.
Everything I build writes down what it did. Agents keep logs and ledgers, each client has a brief that updates itself, and nothing depends on someone remembering.
Shows up in: Off-market deal sourcing engine, SEO and GEO agent, Site updater, Custom AI CRM and email, Proposal studio, Chamber of commerce autopilot, AI for schools
SafetyAmygdala · Deep, just in front of each hippocampus
What it does. An almond-sized cluster that flags what matters and what might be a threat, fast, before the slower cortex has finished thinking.
AI drafts, a person approves. Nothing important sends on its own, AI-written text is marked, and rules like fair housing and student safety come first.

ConnectingCorpus callosum · The bridge between the two hemispheres
What it does. About 200 million nerve fibers that let the left and right halves of the brain share what each one knows.
I connect the pieces: email, calendar, calls, files and payments in one place, so the left hand knows what the right hand is doing.
