How dental practices can get more Google reviews
Patients choose a dentist partly on reviews, so asking after a good visit matters. AI can send a short request at the right moment and draft replies, but you must never confirm in a public reply that someone was a patient or discuss their care. Reply in general terms and invite them to contact the office.

Ask after a good visit
A patient who just had a comfortable cleaning or a fix for a painful tooth is the one most likely to say so. A text or email that same day, from the practice, with a direct link, works better than a card at the desk.
Never reveal patient details
Replying to a review with anything about treatment, even to correct a mistake, can break privacy rules. Keep replies general: thank them, say you take feedback seriously, and invite them to call.
Have staff trained on this before AI drafts anything.
No rewards for reviews
Review platforms generally forbid offering something in exchange, and some state boards have views on incentives. Ask, and leave it at that.
Picture this
Examples of what it can look like in a dental practice. Illustrations, not clients.
After a patient’s first visit, a message thanks them for coming in and asks, in one sentence, how it went, with a link.
A reviewer complains about a long wait. The drafted reply says the office is sorry, asks them to call the practice manager, and mentions nothing about their care.
A parent brings a child for a first visit that went well. A message to the parent that afternoon asks if they would share a few words.

Questions
Can I respond to a negative review with the facts?
No. Responding with details of someone’s care can violate privacy rules. Keep it general.
Should the dentist approve replies?
Someone responsible should. AI drafts, a person posts.
How soon after a visit?
The same day or the next morning works best, while the visit is fresh. Do not send the request again and again.
