How architects can get more reviews with AI

Architects get more reviews by asking at the moments clients are happiest, such as approval of the permit, move-in day or a finished room, and by making the request personal and easy. AI can draft the message and track who has been asked. You approve each one. Never pay for reviews or write them yourself.

Ask at a high point

A project has several good moments: the permit comes through, the framing goes up, the family moves in. A request right after one of them gets a warmer reply than a form email months later.

The message should mention the project by name and say what you hope they will share, such as how the process felt.

Respect confidentiality

Homes are private. Do not post a client’s address or photos without their say-so, and keep replies to reviews free of project details they did not share.

Reply to every review

A short, specific thank-you shows prospective clients how you treat people. For a critical review, a calm reply that offers to talk offline reads better than a defense.

Picture this

Examples of what it can look like in a architect. Illustrations, not clients.

The day a client gets their final certificate of occupancy, they receive a note thanking them and asking whether they would share a few words on Google.

A reviewer mentions the way you handled a tough neighbor dispute. A drafted reply thanks them for that exact point, and you tweak it before posting.

You keep a short list of finished projects whose owners have not been asked yet, so none slip through.

Questions

Can I offer something in return for a review?

No. Review platforms generally forbid paying or rewarding for reviews, and it can backfire. Just ask.

Can AI write the review for the client?

It should not. It can offer a few prompts to help them, but the words must be theirs.
