An AI proposal writer built on your own work
Answers · AI agents and custom builds
An AI proposal writer learns from a firm’s past proposals and drafts the next one in the firm’s own style from a new project brief. Westward built one for an architecture firm. In testing on a sample firm, a full draft came back in about two minutes. It is built and tested but not yet in daily use, and a person should always read and edit a draft before it goes out.
How it works
You upload past proposals and a brief for the new project. The tool reads how your firm writes and gives you a full draft back.
Each firm gets its own private workspace. You sign in with an emailed one-time code, with no passwords, and each firm’s files stay in that firm’s workspace.
The firm’s own proposals are the raw material. The better and more consistent they are, the better a draft is likely to be. If you are unhappy with your old proposals, fix that first.
What we have and have not shown
The tool was tested on a sample firm, where a full draft came back in about two minutes. The real firm’s own proposals are the next step.
So this is built and tested, not yet in daily use. We have no figure for hours saved and will not make one up.
Where a person comes in
A draft is a starting point. Someone at the firm should check the scope, the fee, the dates and every claim about past work before it goes to a client. A short checklist for the reviewer helps: scope, fee, dates, names and anything promised.
The tool is best at the writing: the structure, the tone and the standard sections that your firm repeats.
Is it for you?
It suits a firm that writes similar proposals again and again and has good past ones to learn from. If every proposal is wholly different, or you write only a few a year, a template and a careful editor may serve you better.
Another option is to paste an example into a general AI chat tool each time. That can work for occasional use, but you have to check where your files go. A custom tool keeps them in your own workspace.
Who can do this for you
Westward builds these and sets them up. Each page shows what it does and what it has done.
Questions
Does it write in my firm’s style?
It learns from your past proposals, so it drafts in that style. You still edit the result.
Where do my proposals go?
Each firm’s files stay in that firm’s own workspace, behind a one-time email code.
How long does it take to build?
A first build takes about a month, starting with a free 30-minute call.
Can it send proposals to clients?
No. It drafts. A person reads, edits and sends.
