AI for chiropractors: what to automate first

A chiropractic practice gets the most from AI in the front-desk work around the adjustment: answering new patient calls, sending intake forms, nudging people who drift away mid care plan, and asking happy patients for reviews. The clinical side stays with you. Start with the one leak that costs you the most visits and fix that first.

Start where visits are lost

Most practices do not lose patients in the treatment room. They lose them between the first call and the first visit, and again somewhere in the middle of a care plan when life gets busy and the next appointment never gets booked.

So the first things worth automating are the unanswered call, the intake form that never comes back, and the patient who skipped two visits and heard nothing.

What to leave alone

Diagnosis, treatment decisions and anything that sounds like clinical advice stays with you and your staff. AI can draft a reminder or sort a message. It should not tell a patient what is wrong with their back.

Patient information is protected health information, so any tool that touches it needs to be set up with privacy rules in mind. Ask about that before anything is connected.

Picture this

Examples of what it can look like in a chiropractic practice. Illustrations, not clients.

A new patient calls at 12:40 while your assistant is checking someone in. The call is answered, the reason for the visit is noted, and a time is offered.

A patient on a care plan misses two visits in a row. A friendly message goes out, and your front desk sees who has not replied.

After a patient’s last scheduled visit, a short note asks how they feel and, if it went well, where to leave a review.

Questions

Is AI safe to use with patient information?

It can be, if it is set up with patient privacy rules in mind and you know where the information is stored. Ask any vendor, including us, exactly what is stored and who can see it.

Will AI replace my front desk?

No. It takes the repeat tasks, like reminders and first replies, so your staff can spend time with the people standing in front of them.

Where does Westward fit?
