AI your school runs, with rules your teachers set
Students already use AI. We want to build a school version that coaches instead of answering. Nothing is built yet, and teachers shape it from the start.
Students will use AI either way. Give them a safe, sanctioned way to use it, so they learn more, not less.
The problem
Students already use AI, every class has a different rule, some have better tools at home than others, and the work is scattered across apps they piece together themselves.
The solution
One school-run helper, the same for every student, that follows each teacher’s rule and turns the week’s work into one clear plan.
For teachers
Time back, without taking the teaching away.
Feedback built on your rubric
Drafted from your rubric and notes, in your voice. You edit it and send it.
The drafts behind the work
When a student shares them, you see how the piece grew and how long it took. No AI score.
Assignments that stay yours
Built from your own materials. AI helps format and adapt them, never replaces them.
It will never
- Grade on its own
- Accuse a student
- Train AI on student work
- Be forced on a teacher
If you teach, help shape it
Twenty minutes. Tell us what you would hand off first, and what AI should never touch.
For students
The same help for every student, and it still asks for real work.
One plan for the week
Every assignment and due date from every class, in one place, with where to start.
A study partner at home
A school helper that knows the class and coaches instead of answering.
One page for every class
Starts on top of Google Classroom and Blackbaud, so nothing has to move. Replacing them later is the school’s choice.
For administrators
Oversight in one place, with the right messages ready.
Every AI rule in one view
See what each class allows, and set school-wide rules in one place.
The messages that need to go out
Drafted each morning for your office to approve. Nothing sends on its own.
Safety comes first
The rules a school can hold us to.
The data and the settings are the school’s. If we ever stop, you keep everything.
Never sold, no ads, never used to train any AI. We sign your student data agreement before any student logs in.
We cannot open student work without the school’s OK.
Each teacher sets what AI may do in their class, and students see that rule on every assignment.
Questions
Is any of this available today?
Not yet. We would start in high school with one teacher who wants it, one class and one term, under your data agreement. Then you decide.
Who is behind this?
Westward, a small software company in Venice, California. The founder is a high school senior, which is why the school owns everything we build.
Won’t students use it to cheat?
They already have AI in their pockets. A school helper coaches instead of answering, and every assignment shows the teacher’s rule.
Can software prove a student used AI?
No, so we do not score it. Teachers see the drafts a student shares and talk with the student.
What if a student tells it something worrying?
Your counselors decide who is told, and we set that up with them before any student uses it.
