Is my business ready for AI?

Answers · Getting started

Your business is ready for AI if you can name one task that repeats, someone can check the result, and the information involved is already in email, files or software. You do not need a technical team or a big budget to start small. If you are unsure, Westward’s free 30-minute call will tell you honestly, including when the answer is not yet.

Signs you are ready

You can point to a job that eats hours every week. You can explain how it is done in a few sentences. The information it uses is in digital form, such as email, spreadsheets or documents. And someone is willing to look over what the AI produces.

For example, an office where one person answers the same client questions by email every day is ready. So is a firm that writes similar proposals and has the old ones saved.

Signs to fix something first

If a process lives only in one person’s head, write it down first. If your records are on paper or scattered with no pattern, AI will have little to work from. If no one has time to check the results, start by finding that person.

None of these are permanent. They are the first week of work.

What readiness is not

It is not knowing the technology. It is not having a perfect system. Most owners who call us have not used AI yet and do not know what they want. That is a normal place to start. Starting small with one task shows you what works in your business before you commit to more.

A quick self-check

Answer four questions. What is one task you repeat every week? Who would check the result? Where does the information live? What should never go into an AI tool? If you can answer the first three, you are ready to talk. The fourth we settle together in the audit.

How to find out

Take the free call. In 30 minutes with the founder, we ask about your week, name the jobs that look worth doing, and say which ones are not. If AI will not help, you hear that at the end of the call, before you spend anything on a build.

Who can do this for you

Westward builds these and sets them up. Each page shows what it does and what it has done.

Questions

Do I need clean data?

You need information that exists in digital form. It does not have to be tidy. Sorting it out is often part of the first week.

What if my team is nervous about AI?

That is common and reasonable. A person approves anything important or public, and we train people on their own work so they see what it does.

Is there a minimum size?

We do not set one. What matters is whether you have repeated work worth fixing.

Will it cost a lot to find out?

The first call is free. If you go further, pricing is quoted in writing before anything is built.
