AI website conversion optimization, explained
Answers · Websites
AI website conversion optimization means using an AI agent to watch how real visitors use your site, such as where they scroll, tap and leave, and then make small, tested changes so more of them become customers. A conversion is any visitor who does what you want, like booking a call. Westward’s site updater does this nightly, with at most two changes a night.
What it looks at
The agent records time on each page, how far visitors scroll, which sections they saw, what they tapped, taps on things that do nothing, repeated angry taps, errors and load speed. It also counts the booking path step by step, so it knows where people drop off.
It sets no cookies and stores no typed text and no IP addresses. A random number in the browser counts return visits and is never tied to a name.
What it changes
Wording, layout, buttons and pop-ups. It works inside limits you set, such as what it may change. Every change is written down, and the agent checks its earlier changes against what visitors did afterward. Changes that did not help are noted.
Two examples, not clients. Visitors keep tapping a headline that is not a link, so the agent turns it into one. Half the people who start booking a call stop on the second step, so the agent shortens that step and checks the next night’s numbers.
The honest limits
It needs visitors. With few visitors, the numbers are too small to tell whether a change helped, and the agent says so. If almost nobody visits, your first problem is being found, which is SEO work.
What it has done on our own site
In one 48-hour stretch, it made nine live updates to the Westward site. Whether each helped is graded by what visitors did afterward. We have not published results yet because there are not enough numbers to mean something.
Doing it yourself
You can do a version for free. Look at your analytics weekly, change one thing at a time, and write down what you changed and when. Wait long enough to see a difference before you change the next thing, or you will not know which change did what.
Testing tools and freelancers are other options. An agent makes sense if you want this done every night without anyone having to remember. The first call with the founder is free and lasts 30 minutes, and we will tell you if your site has too few visitors for it to help yet.
Who can do this for you
Westward builds these and sets them up. Each page shows what it does and what it has done.
Questions
Will it change my site without asking?
It works inside limits you set, such as what it may change. Every change is written down.
Does it track my visitors personally?
No. It measures behavior on the page with no cookies, no typed text and no IP addresses. A random number in the browser counts return visits; it is never tied to a name or an email.
How many visitors do I need?
There is no fixed number. The agent says plainly when the numbers are too small to tell.
How much does it cost?
We don’t publish prices. You get a fixed price in writing before anything is built, with an optional monthly plan and no hourly billing.
