How to choose an AI consulting firm
Answers · AI agency for your business
Choose an AI consulting firm by what it has built and runs, not what it says. Ask to see real work with dates, how pricing is written, who approves what the AI does, and whose accounts it runs on. Be wary of guaranteed results, hourly billing with no end, and firms that never say “AI will not help with that.”
Proof to ask for
Something they built and still run, with what actually happened and when. Real names of clients only if those clients agreed. A founder or lead you can talk to directly.
Questions to ask
How is it priced, and is that in writing before work starts? Who approves what the AI sends? Whose accounts and data is it built on? What happens if it breaks? Will you tell me if AI is not the answer?
Red flags
A guaranteed sales or savings number before they have seen your business. Pressure to sign a long contract on the first call. Tools that lock your data into their account. No plain answer about who checks the AI’s work.
How Westward answers these
Pricing is quoted in writing before anything is built. A person approves anything important or public. Accounts and passwords stay yours. Our own builds and their results, with dates, are on our work page. If AI will not help, we say so.
Who can do this for you
Westward builds these and sets them up. Each page shows what it does and what it has done.

Questions
Should I pick a local firm?
It helps for in-person training, but it is not required. Westward works in person across Los Angeles and Orange County and remotely across the US.
How many firms should I talk to?
Two or three is usually enough to see the difference in how they answer the questions above.
What does a first call cost?
At Westward, nothing. It is 30 minutes with the founder.
