Show up on Google and ChatGPT: bookkeepers
Owners ask assistants things like “who can catch up my books” or “bookkeeper for a small salon near me.” The assistants favor businesses that state clearly what they do, for whom and where. Write that in plain sentences on your home page, keep your listings consistent, and answer common questions on dedicated pages.

State it flatly
“Monthly bookkeeping and catch-up cleanups for small restaurants and salons in Orange County” is a sentence an assistant can lift. A slogan is not.
Include the software and systems you work in, the size of client you suit and how to get started. Specifics are what get quoted.
Answer the questions owners ask
“What does a bookkeeper do that my accountant does not,” “How do I know my books are right.” Each gets a short answer at the top of its own page.
Short answers first, details after. A person scanning and a machine reading both prefer it.
Check, then fix
Ask the assistants those questions yourself. If someone else is named, read why. Westward’s GEO agent can run these checks on a schedule.
Fix what the check turns up: a missing service, an old phone number, a profile that lists you in the wrong category.
Picture this
Examples of what it can look like in a bookkeeper. Illustrations, not clients.
A person asks an assistant for catch-up bookkeeping for a landscaping company. It cites the page that describes exactly that.
Your listing shows a former address. After the fix, maps and assistants agree.
A page answering “bookkeeper vs accountant” opens with two clear sentences.

Questions
Does this need a big website?
No. A few clear pages can do the job.
Will it happen quickly?
Not necessarily. Search and AI engines change slowly, so measure over months.
What if an assistant gets my fees wrong?
Explain how your pricing works on your site, in your own words, so there is a correct source to find.
